Abstract

This article analyzes the concept of crimes related to religious extremism committed by women, as well as issues regarding its social danger. The study also examines scientific approaches to the concept of “extremism” in detail. In particular, researchers have justified the assessment of extremism as a set of actions aimed at uncompromising unity around a specific idea (political, religious, nationalistic), the rejection of traditional values and beliefs, and the implementation of these destructive views through violence and deception. Furthermore, the author describes women’s crime in the article, highlighting its modern characteristics. In the conclusion, based on the analysis of the definitions given to the concept of extremism, the author identified its specific features. Noting that these factors as a whole are assessed as criteria that pose a serious threat to the security of the individual, society and the state, he put forward his proposals for inclusion in the legislation, in particular, in the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On Combating Extremism.”
