THEORETICAL ASPECTS OF THE REHABILITATION PROCEDURE FOR WOMEN VICTIMS OF HARASSMENT AND VIOLENCE

Violence and harassment against women became the focus of attention of the international community in the second half of the 20th century. Today, this issue has been elevated to the level of state policy in our country, and attention is being paid to a comprehensive system of social protection for victims. This requires the improvement of legislation in this area based on international standards. For this purpose, the article examines legislative norms and the scientific and theoretical views of legal scholars and analyzes the subjects operating in the field, as well as the experience of foreign countries. Issues related to the concept of “rehabilitation,” its essence and classification, and theoretical models of victim rehabilitation are addressed. The research used the comparative legal method, methods of analysis, synthesis, observation, generalization, induction, and deduction. In conclusion, the author put forward relevant proposals and recommendations for improving this procedure.
