The purpose of this study is to comprehensively analyze the theoretical, legal, and procedural aspects of extradition in the criminal process of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as to evaluate the effectiveness of the existing mechanism for its implementation. The work employs systematic, comparative-legal, and formal-legal research methods, through which the norms of national legislation, international treaties, judicial practice, and foreign experience in regulating extradition relations are studied. As a result of the study, current problems in the legal regulation of extradition in the Republic of Uzbekistan were identified, certain gaps in the procedural mechanism for extraditing persons were identified, and proposals were developed aimed at improving legislation, developing judicial control, and strengthening human rights protection guarantees in extradition proceedings.
