SCIENTIFIC APPROACHES TO THE CAUSES OF SUICIDE AND THE CONDITIONS CONTRIBUTING TO ITS COMMISSION

This article examines scientific approaches to the causes of suicide and the conditions that contributed to it. Furthermore, the author of the article emphasizes that the crime of suicide is distinguished by its specific features among crimes against the person, which necessitates conducting a separate research study providing for liability for this crime. In the article, the author also expresses his opinion that the crime of suicide is often committed in the form of latent crimes, which negatively affects the assessment of the crime situation in our country and the development of measures for its prevention. Also, in this article, the author studied the scientific views of scientists on the causes of suicide and the conditions that allowed it, entered into a debate and gave relevant proposals and recommendations. In the process of writing the article, the author adhered to a scientific and functional approach, focusing on the objective and subjective causes of the crime of suicide. He also used methods such as logic, consistency, historical, comparative-legal, statistical, and sociological surveys.
